Fleeting, 2025

This piece reflects the illusion of permanence in nature. Forests, wildlife, and landscapes may appear timeless, but like the leaves of the deer, they are easily carried away if left unprotected. Fleeting serves as a meditation on climate change and humanity’s role in preserving what feels unchangeable—before it disappears.
Fleeting depicts a deer formed entirely of leaves, standing atop a solitary rock as the wind slowly pulls it apart. Once solid, the figure is now marked by gaps—quiet absences that reveal its vulnerability. The deer, often a symbol of grace and endurance, becomes a paradox: powerful in stance, yet fragile in substance.
