I drew this in response to the detainment centers that the United States has been building, as well as it's continued support of Israel while it's committing a genocide against Palestine. People are suffering and dying, and the longer the US stays on its current path the worse it'll get.
I drew a teddy bear that's ripped and frayed with stuffing coming out, sitting behind a barbed wire fence, with the US flag in tatters, and its pieces draped along the fence. There is a pool of blood under the bear, and running off the edge of the drawing, with blood on the fence and the bear as well. I was thinking of the bear as a symbol of children and innocence. The tattered stuffed toy has been discarded, with the fate of the child who once loved it unknown, but the pool of blood giving an unwanted clue.
Drawn in 2025.
